Soon to be ex-Triple M host Fifi Box has signed on to do a new radio show with 2Day FM.

Box will present a new two-hour Saturday morning show from February next year, Austereo said today.

The 32-year-old recently announced she was leaving the Shebang breakfast team at the end of the year to become a weather presenter on Seven’s Sunrise program.

Box, who will now split her time between the two jobs, said she was thrilled to be continuing in radio.

“I’m so excited to continue working at Austereo, I love this place, the only difference is I’ll be swapping Metallica for The Pussycat Dolls,” she said.

Today Network national content director Craig Bruce said Box was a perfect fit for 2Day.

“As our audience run their Saturday morning errands, shop, drop the kids at sport or recover from Friday night, they’ll be in for the best in fun and entertainment,” he said.

Box’s show, which will feature yet to be announced regulars and special guests, will premiere on February 7, 2009.
