FAIRFAX Radio boss Graham Mott has admitted he has spoken to Ray Hadley, the morning shift host at Sydney's top-rating station 2GB -- but dismissed reports he had offered him $5million a year to defect to Fairfax's 2UE. There had been speculation Fairfax Radio could poach Hadley to revive the flagging fortunes of 2UE, where ratings have sunk to less than 6 per cent of the Sydney audience. But while he said 2UE was "below where we'd like it to be", Mr Mott denied he was willing to spend $5m to lure Hadley -- who regularly attracts more than 17 per cent of the audience -- to the struggling station in either the breakfast or morning shifts.
