The rumours on Merrick and Rosso (and Kate) have been doing the rounds this week and today the Courier Mail reports
After seven successful years riding the FM radio airwaves, Nova 969 duo Merrick Watts and Tim Ross are believed to be hanging up their headphones at the end of 2008.
While rumours of creative friction with their newest recruit Kate Ritchie are said to be unfounded, the funny fellas are aiming to expand their showbiz careers beyond the dial and are planning to sign off from the Nova network in November.
Nova's general manager Mandi Wicks moved to shut down the situation yesterday, saying management "couldn't be happier" with the team, but a station insider has revealed the breakfast boys are "well and truly over" the gig. And good riddance to Tracy Austin back to Yanksville. Pity her work visa didn't run out a long time ago. Not so sure about Mr 2CA Cut & Paste getting the job, will be uninspiring for sure.
