You know what radio is like, even in the most sensitive situations, there will be speculation unless the circumstances of the death is explained.
Personally it doesn't bother me as I don't know of John Lindrea but I know what radio people are like. -

I can understand your point of view Mincer there is always speculation when someone passes away and the details are not released out of respect to the family. Nothing to hide, just sadness mate.
Johnno was a top bloke, one of the best you could meet. He lost a brave fight against cancer.
I can't get into Melbourne for his funeral - however on Friday I will have a drink for a mate who has gone way too soon. RIP. -

hi guys, its Antonelle here, thanks for the post, Johns passing was a result of a serious infection that took us both by surprise we didnt see it coming. his cancer was incurable and it was going to get him anyway but we thought he had some more time.......
you're correct he fought like a trojan at the same time accepting his fate, i will never know a man like him he was the love of my life and my childrens hero.
good idea have a drink on Friday and share the memories he would of given you great ones.

John was a close friend of mine during our "younger years" and was one of the best friends you can have. He would always have a wise crack or just his laid back attitude and I don't think the word "Panic" was in his vocabulary either! He was your genuine "Top Bloke". My heart goes out to his wife and family, I know how I feel, I can only imagine how difficult it is for them.
I attended the service and funeral and Antonelle, the kids and everyone else involved, did it just the way he would have liked! Thanks for the time we had mate ... who knows .... maybe in the future??? You know the answers to the "big" questions now buddy!!! -
