FAIRFAX Media's Sydney AM talk station 2UE is under pressure in a declining advertising market with advanced plans to change its breakfast line-up and a number of sales staff leaving in recent months. Contract renewals and programming changes have come months early for 2UE and the troubled Austereo network Triple M, with serious ratings declines putting both networks under the microscope. The softening advertising market is believed to have had a particularly harsh impact on 2UE. Data from Commercial Radio Australia showed metropolitan radio advertising revenue dropped by more than 3 per cent in the 2008-09 financial year. Full article The Australian
