Morning host Neil Mitchell was live on the street broadcasting his program from America yesterday for the US elections which saw Barack Obama becoming the country's first black president.

Neil Mitchell covered his morning program speaking to everyday Americans on who they thought would win while the team around him such as producer Justin Smith gave an insight into results as polling places closed and the results began to come in.

It was during the Ernie Sigley program that Mitchell returned to air to announce Obama had won.
