Nova 106.9 have announced that Comedian Dave Thornton will replace Ash Bradnam on Brisbane's number 1 breakfast show when it returns to the airwaves next week. Dave, who previously filled in for Ash in October last year, will be joined by co-hosts Meshel and Tim.

However Nova have released a statement confirming Ash still is very much part of the station. “Co-host Ash Bradnam is still on break from the breakfast show and Nova 106.9 continues to support him on his road to recovery,” it said.

Ash Bradnam went into rehab for an alcohol problem after being pulled over for drink driving around two hours after finishing work in October 8 2009.
