The SMH reports on how the new media ownership laws will ensure regional radio stations produce at least five news bulletins a day.
‘REGIONAL radio stations will be forced to produce a minimum of five local news bulletins a day and maintain existing staff levels and production facilities under the Government’s media changes.‘
Well there are many regional radio stations that have not produced a news bulletin in over a decade and then there are those that rely on syndication from capital cities or regional hubs. Did I forget to mention the stations that use the recycled bulletin from dawn to dusk or the regional FM stations that ask what is a news bullletin?
