Much has been spoken about Richard Marsland's sad and lonely death last Saturday. The much loved and respected radio and comedy star took his own life and was found in his car at Shiprock Falls in Victoria's Dandenong Ranges.
It has been revealed that Richard's final words to his mother around 8.30 Friday night prior to his death were those that he often ended his phone calls home to Adelaide, "I'm fine mum", and "I love ya, I love ya, I love ya".
Richard's family have also revealed that he had fought a long battle with depression and that he had attempted to take his own life around 10 years ago. Extensive counselling got Richard back on track however just 2 months ago he told his parents he felt lonely and alone. Related item from The Sunday Mail here
