Long ago when vans were cool, radio stations quite often offered suped up versions to be given away as prizes. These were normally part of a competition jointly sponsered by companies such as Coca Cola. The picture above is of The Denim Machine (what were they smoking at 3XY?) which for most of us has faded to a distant memory.

Fantastic! Now does anyone know what happened to the 3UZ/Waltons Truck of Luck - a promotional Holden panel van used by the station around 1970 - that was a site for sore eyes!!!! There used to be a former 3UZ news VW beetle in Preston (vic) and you could still see the 3UZ logo ever so faintly on the doors ---- this VW was still around in 1995 - 1996

Hey, you just answered my question? What happened to the 3UZ beetles used for traffic reports on the Lunn Fun Show. 4 cars on the road every morning I believe. Now it's just a crossover to Main Roads in Perth! No style .
