The chief executive of a Canberra charity is suing the owners of 2CC over comments made about her involvement in the sale of the Narrabundah Longstay Caravan Park in 2006.

Margaret Spalding is claiming damages for comments made by 2CC presenter Mike Jeffreys on his program in May 2006. Ms Spalding is the chief executive of Koomarri, which sold the caravan park to private interests.

The ACT Supreme Court was played a recording of an interview between Ms Spalding and Mr Jeffreys in March, in which she says she assumes the site will remain as a caravan park.

Parts of that interview were replayed in a May broadcast, in reaction to news that residents had been told they would be evicted by the new owners.
It is alleged Mr Jeffreys' broadcast implied that Ms Spalding lied, deliberately misled park residents and behaved deplorably. The hearing continues.
