All shifts including mid-dawns are going to have to an announcer live to air with stations having a minimum number of 6 daytime jocks. With 3AW now referring to themselves as Melbourne's Own you may find yourself asking - 'where have I heard that before?'
If you said when Bert Newton was in charge of 3DB you would right.
Between 1986 and 1988 the station was known as Melbourne's own 3DB, the new beginning. Of course 3DB went on to become 3TT, later TTFM and now known as MIX 101.1.

This clearly is no longer the case.

The radio duo will also have to do something about the bad reception on the 1377 frequency, now used by 3MP, because while it has traditionally been crystal clear while travelling up the Nepean Highway to Dromana, it's crackly in the metropolis.
